Can I reuse my Meraki licence on a new device? It depends on two things: your licensing model and the device type. On Co-Term, MR licences carry over to new MR access points, but most other licences are model-specific. On Subscription, licences are grouped by size tier and Wi-Fi 7 devices need a separate tier. Check before you order.

Can I reuse my Meraki licence on Co-Term?
MR access points: MR licences are generic. They carry over to new MR access points.
Other devices: licences are model-specific. They do not carry over. For example, an MS120 licence does not carry over to an MS130.
Can I reuse my Meraki licence on Subscription?
Wireless: an MR licence carries over only to Wi-Fi 6 access points. Wi-Fi 7 access points need a CW licence.
Other devices: licences are grouped by size tier. One small-MX licence covers several small MX models. One medium-switch licence covers several medium switch models.
Moving up a size tier: a move from a small MX to a medium MX needs a new licence.
